ASHTADHATU MERU SHREE YANTRA is a highly powerful and auspicious yantra that beholds supremacy similar to that of Shri Yantra. Whether it is any financial problems or personal setbacks, Meru Yantra has an answer to all. It works as a strong medium to remove all obstacles and pave way for a happy, healthier and wealthier life. It is mainly worshipped for prosperity.

The names come from the name of the Mountain Meru. This is a sacred mountain that is spiritually known to be the centre of all spiritual and physical universes according to Indian Mythology. The same spirituality and powers the yantra radiates when the possessor worships the same with a pure heart and mind.

Kachchhap Meru or ASHTADHATU MERU SHREE YANTRA is one of the oldest, rarest and most precious Yantras and believed to have been created by Adi Guru Dattatreya for the welfare of the world. The name, Sri Yantra, which means mounted at the back of tortoise upwards is also significant because in Hindu mythology, it is believed that the tortoise lifted the weight of the earth on its back. The tortoise is particularly relevant as it is a very powerful, protected being that can live in either water or land. It is also non-violent and Nature has provided it with a strong cover or jacket to protect it from danger. Shree Yantra designed over the back of Kurm or tortoise has eight petals as in the case of the original Shree Yantra where the flower Lotus or Kamal has eight groups with sixty-four Lotus dal. It is also seen that most of the designs of Yantras are based on the growing Lotus flower. Here the question arises as to why Guru Dattatreya chose only the Lotus flower as the base of Yantras. The reason is, Lotus is the only holy flower which originates from the navel (Nabhi) of Lord Vishnu. Where the God of knowledge and creator of Veda i.e ‘Lord Brahma’ is also believed to be seated. Guru Dattatreya is said to be the representative of the United Trinity’ i.e. Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu and Lord Mahesha. Therefore, the force which pushes a man to worship the Yantras lies in the strong belief that these Yantras are created by this “Trinity themselves who are the creator, preserver and destroyer of the world respectively, who also control the Sun, the Moon, Planets and hence, the whole universe itself. It is also believed that the ‘ASHTADHATU MERU SHREE YANTRA’ was vividly used by the learned Brahmin community of coastal area in Rameshwaram and Kerala in Seventh or Eighth Century. The Shree Yantra designed on the mount over the back of a tortoise looks similar to the dome of any temple which is slightly mounded. It also depicts one of the fundamental of “Vastu Kala” which says that any residential house, palace or temple must be mounted at the centre to the top, so that the person residing in it should get more and more energy radiation & solar reflections from the cosmic universe or Brahmanda to be more healthy, wealthy and wise. The ASHTADHATU MERU SHREE YANTRA is worshipped similarly as Shri Yantra has another importance. This Yantra is explained as the tortoise in itself is a very powerful and protected living being and can live in water and land simultaneously, but does not harm anybody and is an anon-violent creature. Natural has protected the delicacy of a tortoise by providing it with a strong cover or jacket which is harm-proof and protects him in the ups and downs of life. ASHTADHATU MERU SHREE YANTRA has been made in Ashtadhatu and its very Satvik and Auspicious. Kurm Meru yantra can be buried under earth too during construction of new house/shop etc to remove all Vastu doshas, bring prosperity as well as provide protection from evil eyes, negativity and bad luck.

  • If you are using a Shri Yantra in a home or office, the Vedic recommend that it faces east
  • They also suggest occasionally bathing the yantra, if it is a copper and Ashtdhatu in milk or rose water.
  • if you want to go all out, place dots of sandalwood paste on the four corners of the yantra.
  • Sit comfortably in a position that allows you to remain alert. Have your Shri Yantra image on hand as well as your blank white surface. If using a white wall, be sure you have a clear view.
  • Set the timer for five minutes and begin gazing at the yantra image. Keep the gaze soft — let the eyes relax and passively allow the image to enter the visual awareness.
  • When five minutes are over, immediately move the gaze to the blank white surface. Allow the afterimage to take form — colors will be reversed, i.e. black to white. Keep gazing at the afterimage as long as you can see it; when it fades, close your eyes and allow any remaining afterimage to emerge. Keep your attention on it until it completely fades.
